The Six Healing Sounds translates to Liu Zi Jue and was first referred to in a book called On Caring for the Health of the Mind and Prolonging the Life Span written between 420 - 589. No body movements accompanied the practice until the Ming Dynasty, 1386 - 1644.
Our bodies are Qi - energy and vibration. All cells of the body emit sound as a consequence of their metabolic process, this means that all cells, organs and bodily systems have a frequency and vibration that is most natural to them when in their optimal state. The practice of making and receiving sound and vibration has the ability to re-harmonise the cells, organs and the various functioning systems of our bodies as well as to relax and renew us mentally and emotionally.
The Six Healing Sounds practice is based on an ancient Chinese Buddhist that dates back over 2500 years and is used to expel toxic energy from the internal organs and to release emotion held in the body. The healing sounds bring Qi into the internal organs by balancing the five elements of the body. This powerful practice transforms the body physically, emotionally and energetically, delivering deep relaxation and self-healing.
