Develop your elixir field to store Qi

We all possess our own personal quality and quantity of Qi. If we wish to expand our ability to hold Qi within, as well as project Qi (in various ways) outwardly we must understand the fundamentals of the Dantian. We can then utilise methods to forge and fill this 'elixir field', as well as circulate more Qi through the body.

In this masterclass I'll share theory, philosophy and short Dantian Gong practices. The session recording and notes are included for home practice.

Qigong has its origins in ancient China and is one of the branches of Classical Oriental Medicine. It is closely related, but not the same as Tai Chi. Qigong activates our body's energy system and the innate self-healing capacity of the body and can be likened to form of moving meditation.

The purpose of the practice is to release physical, mental and emotional tension and stress, which allows the energy of the body to circulate more freely and with less stagnation and blockage.

We'll anchor our awareness in the three principles of practice - Body, Mind, Spirit. Presence, movement and intention helps us develop a deeper relationship with our Qi and to invigorate our self-healing abilities.

Qigong is a beautiful form of self-nourishment and restoration, the essence being to slow down, soften the heart and to do less.
